Camp Crossroads, a beloved Muskoka camp, was established in 1980 to provide a safe place for youth, families, and individuals of all ages to explore nature, develop meaningful relationships and grow in faith. With their growth in attendance over the years, moving from summer programs to year-round programs, it was clear that the camp needed to expand their facilities. Oakridge Lodge was designed as a multi-purpose building to house staff, provide training and activity spaces, and facilitate year-round programming, opening the door to new future opportunities in program development and facility rental. The upper level contains group and private sleeping suites with beds, storage, and private bathrooms, as well as laundry facilities for occupant use. The fully accessible lower level includes two large activity / training rooms with integrated media and storage cabinetry, a kitchen & lounge, public washrooms, and private accessible suites and washrooms. Special care was taken to create consistency in aesthetic with other buildings on the property, while integrating nature-inspired colours, finishes and local wildlife artwork, as well as creating a space that is durable and flexible for future growth.
